1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 4 to 7 in private.

2. Pre-budget scrutiny 2024-25:

The Committee took evidence from—

Carmen Martinez, Coordinator, Scottish Women's Budget Group;

Professor David Ulph, Commissioner, Scottish Fiscal Commission;

Philip Whyte, Director, IPPR Scotland.

Sandesh Gulhane declared an interest as a practising NHS GP.

Emma Harper declared an interest as a registered nurse.

3. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered the following negative instrument— Personal Injuries (NHS Charges) (Amounts) (Scotland) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 2023

The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the instrument.

4. Pre-budget scrutiny 2024-25:

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.

5. Winter planning 2023-24:

The Committee considered a draft letter to the Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care and agreed to consider an updated draft by correspondence.

6. COVID-19 Recovery Committee Legacy paper:

The Committee considered the COVID-19 Recovery Committee legacy paper.

7. Inquiry into female participation in sport and physical activity:

The Committee considered a draft report.
