The Committee took evidence from—

Michael Matheson, Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care, Jenni Minto, Minister for Public Health and Women's Health, Caroline Lamb, Chief Executive of NHS Scotland and Director-General for Health and Social Care and Christine McLaughlin, Director of Population Health, Scottish Government.

Clare Haughey declared an interest as a registered mental health nurse and having been the Minister for Mental Health at the time the Mental Health Law Review was commissioned.

Sandesh Gulhane declared an interest as a practising NHS GP.

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.

4. Healthcare in remote and rural areas:

The Committee agreed its approach to the inquiry.

5. Inquiry into female participation in sport and physical activity:

The Committee considered a draft report.
