2. Inquiry into female participation in sport and physical activity:

The Committee took evidence from—

Kim Atkinson, Chief Executive Officer, Scottish Sports Association;

David Ferguson, Chief Executive, Observatory for Sport in Scotland;

Flora Jackson, Health Improvement Manager, Public Health Scotland;

Maureen McGonigle, Chief Executive Officer, Scottish Women in Sport;

Ailsa Wyllie, Lead Manager, sportscotland.

3. NHS Boards scrutiny:

The Committee took evidence from—

Robin McNaught, Director of Finance and eHealth, The State Hospitals Board for Scotland.

Clare Haughey indicated that she commissioned the independent review of forensic mental health services when she was Minister for Mental Health.

4. European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018:

The Committee considered powers under the European Union Withdrawal Act in relation to the following UK statutory instrument proposal—The Healthcare (International Arrangements) (EU Exit) Regulations 2023

The Committee agreed to note the provisions set out in the notification.

5. Inquiry into female participation in sport and physical activity:

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.

6. NHS Boards scrutiny:

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 3.

7. Winter planning 2023-24:

The Committee considered and agreed its approach to scrutinising winter planning and preparedness in health and social care.

8. Annual report:

The Committee considered and agreed a draft annual report for the parliamentary year from 13 May 2022 to 12 May 2023.
