1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee decided to take item 4 in private.

2. Pre-Budget Scrutiny 2023-24:

The Committee took evidence from—

Professor David Bell, Professor of Economics, University of Stirling;

Leigh Johnston, Senior Manager, Performance Audit and Best Value, Audit Scotland;

     Raphael Wittenberg, Associate Professorial Research Fellow, London School of Economic and Political Science.

Tess White MSP declared an interest as a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development.

3. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered the following negative instrument— SI 2022/697 - The General Pharmaceutical Council (Amendment) Rules Order of Council 2022.

The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the instrument.
