1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee decided to take items 4, 5 and 6 in private.

2. Session 6 Priorities:

The Committee took evidence from—

Kevin Stewart, Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care , Donna Bell,Director for Mental Health and Social Care and Gavin Gray,Deputy Director Improving Mental Health Services, Scottish Government .

Sandesh Gulhane MSP declared an interest as a practising NHS doctor. 

Emma Harper MSP declared an interest as a registered nurse.

Paul O'Kane MSP declared an interest as a councillor at East Renfrewshire Council. 

Stephanie Callaghan declared an interest as a councillor at South Lanarkshire Council.

Sue Webber declared an interest as a councillor at the City of Edinburgh council.

The Committee considered the following negative instrument— National Health Service (Pharmaceutical Services)(Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021

The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the instrument.

4. Session 6 Priorities:

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.

5. Common Framework on Public Health Protection and Health Security:

The Committee agreed its approach to scrutiny of the provisional Common Framework on Public Health Protection and Health Security. 

6. Transvaginal Mesh Removal (Cost Reimbursement) (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee agreed its draft Stage 1 report.
