National Care Service Consultation Contract Award
On 2 November, the Minister for Mental Wellbeing and Social Care wrote to update the Committee on plans for the next stage of work towards developing the National Care Service (NCS). The Minister set out that officials would update the committee Clerk on the evaluation and contract award of a procurement exercise to commission an independent analysis of the consultation responses.
I am pleased to update you that, following an open and fair procurement exercise, Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP (PwC) have been awarded the contract.
The Minister remains committed to reporting the consultation findings to the Committee in January 2022. This will allow us to make progress with the proposed legislation, in line with the commitments made in Programme for Government.
In line with Scottish Government practice, we will publish details of the contract award within 30 days of the contract being awarded.
