The Committee agreed to take items 4 and 5 in private.

The Committee took evidence on the Forced Marriage etc. (Protection and Jurisdiction) (Scotland) Act 2011 (Application to Civil Partnerships and Consequential Provision) Order 2023 [draft] from—

3. Subordinate legislation:
Shirley-Anne Somerville (Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice) moved—S6M-08951—That the Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee recommends that the Forced Marriage etc. (Protection and Jurisdiction) (Scotland) Act 2011 (Application to Civil Partnerships and Consequential Provision) Order 2023 [draft] be approved.
