1. Declaration of interests:
Sue Webber was invited to declare any relevant interests and declared that she had been a member of the City of Edinburgh Council.
2. Choice of Convener:
The Committee chose Sue Webber MSP as the Convener.
3. Subordinate legislation:
Clare Haughey, Minister for Children and Young People moved—S6M-04165—That the Education, Children and Young People Committee recommends that the Cross-border Placements (Effect of Deprivation of Liberty Orders) (Scotland) Regulations 2022 be approved.
4. Colleges Regionalisation Inquiry:
The Committee heard evidence from—
Audrey Cumberford, Commissioner, Commission on the College of the Future;
Professor Sir Peter Scott, Commissioner for Fair Access;
Nora Senior, Chair, Enterprise and Skills Strategic Board.
