1. Declaration of interests

Meghan Gallagher was invited to declare any relevant interests.


2. Impact of Covid 19 on Children and Young people with additional support needs and care experienced young people:

The Committee heard evidence from—

Bruce Adamson, Children and Young People’s Commissioner;

Stephen McGhee, Managing Director, Spark of Genius, and representing the Scottish Coalition Services Coalition (SCSC);

Linda O'Neill, Education Lead, Centre for Excellence for Children's Care and Protection (CELCIS);

and then from—

Laurie Black, Convener of the ASN Committee, Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS);

Ramon Hutchingson, Co-ordinator, Autism Resources Co-ordination Hub (ARCH) - South Lanarkshire;

Sally Cavers, Head of Inclusion, Children In Scotland.
