At its meeting on 30 March 2022, the Committee considered its approach to looking at issues affecting universities. It agreed to hold a one-off evidence session on this topic in September 2022.

On 8 June 2022, the Committee agreed that this evidence session would form part of its pre-budget scrutiny.
