Letter from the Minister for Just Transition, Employment and Fair Work to the Convener - 01 October 2021
Fair Work Vision Consultation - Becoming a fair work nation - Scottish Government - Citizen Space (consult.gov.scot)
The Scottish Government’s vision, shared with the Fair Work Convention, is that by 2025, people in Scotland will have a world-leading working life where fair work drives success, wellbeing and prosperity for individuals, businesses, organisations and society.
I am pleased to advise you that today we launched a public consultation to gather views about how we can achieve our Fair Work Nation ambitions. The consultation provides a timely opportunity to inform our Fair Work priorities, particularly in the context of the forthcoming COVID Recovery Strategy, EU Exit and in recognising the important role Fair Work can play in our economic recovery and renewal and our ambition for making a just transition to a net zero and wellbeing economy. It will also seek views on how to ensure Fair Work continues to respond to labour market challenges and workplace inequality, including pay gaps for disabled and minority ethnic workers.
The consultation, which can be found using the link above, will run until 23 December, and will provide valuable insights to inform our unique Fair Work policy approach - helping us to achieve our vision for Scotland as a leading Fair Work Nation.
