1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take item 6 in private.


2. Instruments subject to affirmative procedure:

The Committee agreed that no points arose on the following—

Rural Development (Continuation of Operation) (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2024 (SSI 2024/Draft)
Scotland Act 1998 (Specification of Devolved Tax) (Building Safety) Order 2024 (SI 2024/Draft)





4. Instruments not subject to any parliamentary procedure:

The Committee agreed that no points arose on the following—

Visitor Levy (Scotland) Act 2024 (Commencement) Regulations 2024 (SSI 2024/231 C.18))
Abortion Services (Safe Access Zones) (Scotland) Act 2024 (Commencement) Regulations 2024 (SSI 2024/232 C.19))




5. Land Reform (Scotland) Bill:

Tim Eagle declared an interest as a small farmer and that he previously worked for Scottish Land and Estates.

The Committee took evidence from—

Mairi Gougeon, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Land Reform and Islands, Fiona Leslie, Head of Agricultural Holdings and Women in Agriculture Team, Andy Proudfoot, Land Reform Bill Team Leader and Andy Crawley, Lawyer, Scottish Government .


6. Land Reform (Scotland) Bill (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier in the meeting and agreed to write to the Scottish Government.
