The Committee considered and agreed its approach to the scrutiny of the Bill at Stage 1.
The Committee considered the Scottish Government's response to points raised on the delegated powers provisions in the Bill at Stage 1 and agreed to report to the lead Committee on the Bill, the Criminal Justice Committee.
The Committee considered the delegated powers conferred on the Chief Constable of the British Transport Police (with consent of the Scottish Ministers) and UK Ministers in the Public Order Bill (UK Parliament legislation). The Committee agreed to report to the lead Committee on the Bill, the Criminal Justice Committee.
The Committee considered the evidence it received at last week's meeting. It also considered the responses received from the Scottish Government and the UK Government on the powers to make subordinate legislation within devolved competence in the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill (UK Parliament legislation). The Committee agreed to consider the Bill again at its next meeting.
