1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 6 and 7 in private.


2. European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018:

The Committee agreed that the following instrument had been laid under the appropriate procedure and given the appropriate categorisation—

Environment and Trade in Animals and Related Products (EU Exit) (Scotland) (Miscellaneous Amendment) Regulations 2022 (SSI 2022/138)



4. Instruments subject to negative procedure:

The Committee agreed to draw to the attention of the Parliament the following—

Genetically Modified Food and Feed (Authorisations) (Scotland) Regulations 2022 (SSI 2022/137)

The Committee agreed that no points arose on the following—

Environment and Trade in Animals and Related Products (EU Exit) (Scotland) (Miscellaneous Amendment) Regulations 2022 (SSI 2022/138)
Offensive Weapons Act 2019 (Prescribed Documents) (Scotland) Order 2022 (SSI 2022/148)


5. Instruments not subject to any parliamentary procedure:

The Committee agreed that no points arose on the following—

Social Security Administration and Tribunal Membership (Scotland) Act 2020 (Commencement No. 6) Regulations 2022 (SSI 2022/146 (C.8))
Offensive Weapons Act 2019 (Commencement No. 2) (Scotland) Regulations 2022 (SSI 2022/150 (C.9))




6. Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill (in private):

The Committee considered the delegated powers provisions in this Bill at Stage 1 and agreed to report to the Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee.


7. Quarterly Report (in private):

The Committee considered a draft report for the parliamentary quarter from 9 December 2021 to 28 February 2022 and agreed to publish the finalised report.
