1. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee took evidence on the Electronic Monitoring (Use of Devices and Information) (Scotland) Regulations 2025 [draft] and the Electronic Monitoring (Approved Devices) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2024 (SSI 2024/354) from—

Angela Constance, Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Home Affairs and Graham Robertson, Head of Public Protection Unit, Scottish Government.


2. Subordinate legislation:

Angela Constance (Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Home Affairs) moved—

S6M-15677—That the Criminal Justice Committee recommends that the Electronic Monitoring (Use of Devices and Information) (Scotland) Regulations 2025 [draft] be approved.

The motion was agreed to.

The Committee considered its approach to the scrutiny of the Bill at Stage 1. The Committee agreed an initial programme of witnesses to invite to give oral evidence.
