The Committee will consider the following continued petitions—
PE1865: Suspend all surgical mesh and fixation devices. The Committee took evidence from Maree Todd, Minister for Public Health, Women's Health and Sport, Professor Sir Gregor Smith, Chief Medical Officer, and Terry O'Kelly, Senior Medical Advisor, Scottish Government. The Committee agreed to consider the evidence heard at a future meeting.
PE1845: Agency to advocate for the healthcare needs of rural Scotland. The Committee took evidence from petitioner Gordon Baird and agreed to consider the evidence heard at a future meeting.
PE1890: Find solutions to recruitment and training challenges for rural healthcare in Scotland.The Committee took evidence from petitioner Maria Aitken and agreed to consider the evidence heard at a future meeting.
PE1915: Reinstate Caithness County Council and Caithness NHS Board. The Committee took evidence from petitioner Billy Sinclair and agreed to consider the evidence heard at a future meeting.
PE1924: Complete an emergency in-depth review of Women's Health services in Caithness & Sutherland. The Committee took evidence from petitioner Rebecca Wymer and agreed to consider the evidence heard at a future meeting.
PE1804: Halt Highlands & Islands Airports Ltd.'s Air Traffic Management Strategy. The committee agreed to close this petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the basis that the issues raised in this petition appear now to have been resolved.
PE1875: Public inquiry into the Scottish Qualifications Authority. The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the basis that the terms of reference for the COVID-19 Inquiry have now been published and will include consideration of the provision of education and certification during the pandemic.
PE1897: Reform certain of the procedures for the collection of Council Tax. The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the basis that the Scottish Government states that it has no plans to review the processes set out in law in the Council Tax (Administration and Enforcement) (Scotland) Regulations 1992.
