Patrick Bartlett, the successful candidate, will join the board of Audit Scotland on 22 January 2025.
The appointment is for a fixed term of three years, with the possibility of renewal. The position has a time commitment of 24 days per annum and a daily fee rate of £366.93.
Audit Scotland ensures the Scottish Government, and public-sector bodies throughout Scotland, are held to account for the proper, efficient and effective use of approximately £59 billion of public money.
Biographical information
Patrick Bartlett has more than 35 years’ experience in finance leadership and audit; including extensive Audit Committee, risk and governance experience.
He was formerly Group Financial Controller for a major listed company and held many Board roles including CFO for a regulated insurance company.
Mr Bartlett currently holds a number of non-executive and Trustee roles, including being a non-executive Director of Queen Margaret University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
