Scottish Commission for Human Rights - 2 x Part-Time Members


About the role

The Scottish Human Rights Commission’s role is to promote widespread awareness, understanding of, and respect for human rights.

The SPCB is seeking to appoint two part-time members who must be able to spend four days a month (48 days per year) on commission business.

We are looking for two talented individuals with experience of operating at a senior organisational level, who have previous non-executive board/committee experience, who have the ability to work collaboratively and who can demonstrate a commitment to human rights.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with personal lived experience of human rights issues, disabled people, people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities or from those living in rural and island communities.

The daily fee rate is £320.03. The appointment is for a fixed term of 6 years.

The successful candidates will be expected to take up office in summer 2025.

The Commission is based in Edinburgh.
